"Women CEO x Private Equity," a first-of-its-kind event by Scotto Partners and HSBC
To promote women in leadership roles, Scotto Partners and HSBC Continental Europe joined forces for a unique event in the private equity industry
On this occasion, more than 50 female executives and fund partners gathered to hear from Claire Chabrier, Managing Partner at Amundi Private Equity Funds; Isabelle Parize, Chair at Delsey; and Camille Olléon, Chief Human Resources Officer at HSBC Continental Europe.
Beyond bringing together female CEOs of corporate groups and fund partners, this event highlighted the journeys of these leaders and visionaries who, through their determination, commitment, and exemplary conduct, are paving the way for a new generation of influential women.
Whether it was developing initiatives to support the advancement of female talent, addressing unconscious biases, or expanding talent pipelines that have historically been underrepresented, these discussions helped identify concrete and effective strategies for promoting women to leadership positions, including these three key takeaways:
Implement Quotas — Although they are sometimes controversial, quotas have proven effective in promoting balanced representation on boards of directors and in executive teams. Promoting this measure helps break the glass ceiling by providing women with concrete opportunities to advance into leadership roles.
"Taking One's Place" - It is crucial that women dare to claim their place in decision-making bodies. Identifying one's strengths and envisioning oneself in leadership roles is a first step toward realizing their potential. According to Isabelle Parize, "Every woman has the potential to make a significant contribution. You have to be proactive, whether through applying for positions or through personal initiatives to develop your skills and network."
Building Your Network - Networking has proven to be a powerful tool for promoting women into leadership roles. Events such as Women CEO x Private Equity offer a valuable opportunity not only to expand your network but also to meet other female leaders who face similar challenges and share similar experiences.
