Scotto Partners is advising Agora Makers in connection with Hivest Capital Partners’ continuation fund
Press Release
Scotto Partners advised the management team of Agora Makers in connection with the sale of their stake by Hivest Capital Partners to a continuation fund co-managed by Committed Advisors and Patria.
Agora Makers (formerly Agora Technologies) is a French family-owned group founded in 1837 and based in Haute-Marne; it began as a manufacturer of foundry equipment for urban infrastructure. The group controls several independently operated subsidiaries, including GMH (street lighting and street furniture), Eclatec (light fixtures), Metalec (light fixtures, electrical components, and metal fabrication), and Fontes d’Art de Dommartin (home furnishings for private consumers).
Since Hivest Capital Partners acquired a stake in the company in May 2022, Agora Makers has experienced remarkable growth. The company has nearly doubled its revenue and increased its EBITDA by a factor of 2.5. This transaction is part of Agora Makers’ expansion strategy, as the company intends to continue growing and expanding its international presence.
The management of the Agora Makers group was advised by Scotto Partners, with a team comprising Isabelle Cheradame (partner), supported by Manon Halna du Fretay, Rémi Mandet, and Ugo Storch on corporate matters, as well as Emilie Renaud (partner), supported by Pierre-Henri Abadie on tax matters. Hogan Lovells advised Hivest Capital Partners.
Scotto Partners also advised Agora Makers in 2022 in connection with Hivest Capital Partners’ acquisition of a majority stake.
