Scotto Partners is advising Arkopharma's management team on its sale to the Dermapharm Group

Arkopharma, which has been owned since 2014 by Montagu, the French leader in medicinal plants and dietary supplements, is undergoing a change in ownership. Dermapharm Holding SE, a fast-growing German manufacturer of branded pharmaceutical products, is acquiring a stake in Apharma TopCo SAS—the holding company of the Arkopharma Group—through its subsidiary Dermapharm AG.

Founded in 1980 in Carros, near Nice, Arkopharma is a pharmaceutical company specializing in herbal medicine, natural remedies, and dietary supplements. The company develops, manufactures, and distributes a portfolio of products to pharmacies and drugstores, offering natural and innovative solutions across all segments of over-the-counter family healthcare with strong brands (Forcapil®, Azinc/Arkovital®, Arkorelax®, Arkoroyal®, Cys-Control®, and Chondro-Aid®).

A leader in France and Europe through its subsidiaries (France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Switzerland), Arkopharma also operates in more than 60 countries and employs more than 950 people.

Arkopharma generated revenue of more than 200 million euros during fiscal year 2022, of which approximately 8.5% was reinvested in research and development of new products. Its EBITDA margin was over 20%.
