Scotto Partners is working alongside Vinventions' management team in connection with L-Gam's acquisition of a majority stake
Vinventions, a family-owned group previously backed by the minority investor Bespoke Capital Partners and the world leader in wine closure solutions, has been acquired by the Luxembourg-based fund L-GAM, which has taken control of the group alongside its long-standing shareholder. The transaction includes a reinvestment by the management team led by Denis Van Roey, the group’s CEO.
Founded in 2015, Vinventions—a specialist in closure solutions for still wines—has more than 550 employees spread across eight production sites located in the United States, Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Argentina, South Africa, and China. The group, which already protects one in every seven bottles of wine worldwide, aims to become the most innovative, sustainable, and reliable supplier in its sector while upholding its values: customer focus, accountability and entrepreneurship, teamwork, innovation, sustainable development, and long-term responsibility.
Upon completion of the transaction, Patrick Mathieu will become Vinventions’ new non-executive chairman. Currently CEO of Armacell, he will bring to the board of directors more than 30 years of experience within major global industrial organizations.
Denis Van Roey, CEO of Vinventions, said: “This transaction offers our team a unique opportunity to partner with L-GAM and Patrick Mathieu, highly experienced professionals who, alongside our long-standing and loyal partners, will support an ambitious growth strategy built around our culture of innovation, sustainability, and performance, while remaining true to our company’s values.”
Scotto Partners acted as advisor to the management team with a team led byIsabelle Cheradame ( partner), assisted by Charles Escolier on corporate matters, and Jérôme Commercon ( partner), assisted by Julien Pardieu and Loïc Pipaud on tax matters.
