SCOTTO & ASSOCIÉS advises the management team of IPH, which was acquired by PAI Partners in a fourth-round LBO
Paris, February 25, 2013
SCOTTO & ASSOCIÉS is advising IPH’s international management team in connection with its fourth LBO. Owned by Investcorp since 2006 and now controlled by PAI Partners, IPH is the French leader in the distribution of industrial supplies.
With a network of some 250 retail locations worldwide, IPH posted revenue of 895 million euros in 2011. The group employs nearly 3,300 people.
The law firm SCOTTO & ASSOCIÉS (Isabelle Cheradame, Claire Revol-Renié, Aurore Suain, Tessa Parodi de Schonen, and Julie Barfety in corporate law, and Tristan Audouard in tax law) advised the shareholder managers on this transaction.
The number of executive shareholders rose from 60 to 100 as part of this transaction. Led by Pierre Pouletty, the team now has a distinctly European makeup; following the build-ups carried out in 2011 and 2012, it includes executives not only from France but also from Belgium, the Netherlands, Romania, and Germany.
