Scotto Partners is advising Oaklen Consulting on its second management buyout
Press Release
Oaklen Consulting, an independent consulting firm specializing in payments, has announced its second management buyout.
Founded in 2011, Oaklen Consulting supports its clients with all their needs across the value chain: strategic consulting, digital marketing, design and implementation of payment platforms, cybersecurity consulting and auditing, and regulatory compliance.
This second MBO comes two years after a similar transaction. That initiative marked the founder’s gradual departure, with the goal of involving the company’s ten long-standing managers. Rémi Gitzinger, who had been with the firm from its inception, then returned as Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
With this new management buyout (MBO), the firm is finalizing its transition. Backed by Entrepreneur Invest, the managers are thus becoming the majority shareholders by contributing all their shares and reinvesting in the transaction.
This transaction, which is financed by a banking syndicate consisting of Banque Populaire Rives de Paris (arranger) and Crédit Agricole Ile-de-France, enables Oaklen Consulting to maintain its independence and further develop its areas of expertise.
Scotto Partners advised Oaklen Consulting through a team consisting of Coralie Oger, partner; Alexandre Plas; Mathilde Gouiran; and Shanez Kouchar on corporate matters. They were assisted by Jérôme Commerçon, partner, and Thibault Sitoleux, associate, on tax law and management package matters.
