EidosMedia, an Italian specialist in editorial content management solutions that was previously majority-owned by HG Capital, has been acquired by the French private equity firm Capza as part of a secondary LBO. The transaction includes a reinvestment by the management team, led by Christian Pelanconi, the group’s CEO, alongside the new majority shareholder.
Founded in 1999, EidosMedia is a leading global provider of content management system (CMS) software solutions based in Milan, Italy, with more than 200 employees in Europe, North America, and Asia. Its software covers the end-to-end content lifecycle for the newspaper, media, and finance industries.
“Capza will support EidosMedia’s journey and growth, helping us implement an ambitious growth plan that includes our merger and acquisition plans, while we leverage their solid expertise in supporting companies in the technology and B2B services sectors,” said Christian Pelanconi, CEO of EidosMedia.
In connection with this transaction, Eidos Media’s management was advised by a team led by Isabelle Cheradame and Claire-Revol Renié (partners), with assistance from Charlotte Hazan (counsel) and Abdallah Ktiri on corporate matters, as well as Jérôme Commercon ( partner), supported by Martine Le Roux, on tax matters.
HG Capital was advised by Linklaters UK. Capza was advised by Gitti and Partners and Atoz (Luxembourg).
