As part of its third management buyout (LBO), Babcock Wanson, a leading international supplier of industrial boiler equipment and solutions, announces that Ambienta has become its majority shareholder.
With this new funding from Ambienta, a leading European investor specializing in environmental sustainability, Babcock Wanson is accelerating the adoption of electric and low-carbon solutions in industrial processes. Kartesia, the current majority shareholder, is reinvesting a portion of the proceeds from the sale.
Scotto Partners worked alongside Babcock Wanson with a team led by Isabelle Cheradame and Coralie Oger, partners, Julia Brochet and Elina Alfarmini, associates, on corporate matters; Emilie Renaud, partner, and Pierre-Henri Abadie, associate, on tax matters; and Alban Tourneux on employment law matters.
Ambienta was represented by Weil, Gotshal & Manges, with Frédéric Cazals and Benjamin Pique. Kartesia was represented by De Pardieu Brocas Maffei, with Sandra Aloui and Priscilla Van Den Perre.
