Scotto Partners is advising Matawan's management team on its LBO alongside Antin Infrastructure Partners
Scotto Partners advised Matawan, a French smart mobility company, in connection with the LBO led by Antin Infrastructure Partners, which acquired a majority stake in the group.
Founded in 2012, Matawan (formerly Ubitransport) is a pioneering scale-up in connected mobility, specializing in the digitization and optimization of public transportation networks. Through its SaaS platform, the company enables local governments and operators to manage the operations, monitoring, and performance of their transportation networks in real time.
Matawan currently has nearly 250 employees and deploys its solutions across more than 330 transportation networks in six countries. Antin Infrastructure Partners’ investment will help accelerate Matawan’s international expansion in Southern Europe and North America.
The Scotto Partners team, which worked alongside Matawan’s management, consisted of Jérôme Commerçon (partner), Alban Tourneux (counsel) for employment law matters, and Thibaut Sitoleux.
The firm assisted management in negotiating the deal and structuring the transaction, addressing legal, tax, and financial aspects.
